McKean's Floor to Ceiling
In November 1962, Dennis McKean began working out of his family garage, installing vinyl flooring and plastic laminate countertops. It was the beginning of McKean's Floor to Ceiling, a company that is still proudly serving the Omaha area today.
The second generation of McKeans joined the business in the 1970s and 1980s, and in the early 2000s, the third generation proudly joined the family business. Several family members from the second and third generations still work at McKean's today.
When McKean founded his company, he primarily worked with builders. As his company grew, he expanded, adding more types of flooring products. The company changed locations in downtown Ralston a few times before opening in The Old Grainery in 1982. It remained there for many years until construction began at the site of their current La Vista location - at 108th and Harrison - in the late 90s.
After McKean's moved to La Vista in 1998, the company expanded services again by adding the fabrication of granite and quartz countertops.
In 2007, McKean's joined the Floor to Ceiling group and began offering more remodeling services for customers. This also includes cabinets and plumbing fixtures. McKean's Floor to Ceiling's remodeling services began to soar as a result of this move. McKean's can now completely remodel kitchens and bathrooms, as well as provide quality flooring and countertops.
